I've been working like a dog to get the website up to a working standard that can be launched in a beta version. Long hours. Long weekends. Stress. No dinners. I think I've lost a lot of weight because I haven't had any time to eat. Breakfast and a sandwich at lunch.
There were moments that I wished I came to this job with a complete website. Something that I can run. A finished product. It was the other way around. I came in when it was left alone stale since January with no one having any idea what else it needs or what it needs to function.
After weeks of struggling, it was done.
Tuesday -- that was a monumental day for me. I launched my second website and gone through my fourth re-design. I promise to never do this again, and this time, I mean it.
Warsaw Business Journal
Now, I just need to write a news story every time something happens. Plan a couple of editorial projects and run with the launch contest that I've been planning. A couple more steps and I think we can launch the contest. More really long nights at the office are waiting for me, but after that, I promise to leave at 5:15 p.m. at the latest. There's no point in staying longer if I'm not getting over time and the more I show I can do, the more they'll take advantage of that. Instead, they should think about hiring one more person for the website. I'm serious. I need an intern for the summer.
